2001, 90 minutes, Rated MA
In a motel room over the course of a long night, Three old friends are reunited. One has a few prickly questions; one has some surprise answers; and one gets it all on tape.
Based on a three-character, one-act play, Tape is set in a seedy Michigan motel room. The room is rented by Vince (Ethan Hawke), an ill-tempered but gregarious party animal who has returned to Michigan to attend the premiere of his friend John's (Robert Sean Leonard) documentary at a local film festival. When the pair get together to reminisce, events take a dramatic and unexpected turn, plunging the two men and antoher high school driend (Uma Thurman) into an evening of unforgettable tension.
