Julie Walters is one of eight women gathered for Britain's first all-woman survival course in this heart-warming film of female solidarity.

A disparate group, they arrive in the Lake District in search of strength and companionship.

The week-long adventure starts with the group tackling canoeing, rock-climbing, swimming and trekking. They gain confidence helping each other through their fears and inhibitions.

By the final test - a gruelling night under canvas in the most miserable of conditions - the spirit of the individuals may be low, but their morale pushes them beyond their known limits in an uplifting finale.
