John Carpenter's Starman is a spellbinding mix of gentle humour, romance and science fiction wizardry. Jeff Bridges received an Oscar nomination as Best Actor (1984), and Karen Allen provides excellent co-starring support. An alien explorer from a far-off planet (Bridges) plummets to Earth. His unearthly masters give him three days to live as a man - and then he must return. In those three days he learns not just to live, but to love.
