2002, 102 minutes, Rated R

To be struck by lightening, or as the French call it a "coup de foudre" - it's that rare moment when two people lock eyes and the world melts away in the powerful intensity of instant attraction.

So it is for Alice (Heather Graham - Boogie Nights), an American living comfortably in London with her friends, career, flat and loving boyfriend until one morning, on her way to work, her eyes lock with a mesmerising stranger for no more than a second. With consequence cast aside she begins a passionate and heated affair that leads to a hasty marriage.

Shortly after Alice begins to receive mysterious notes warning her about her husband - Adam (Joseph Fiennes - Shakespeare in Love). Trying to find out who the stranger is she married Alice digs a little deeper, unearthing secrets that are better left dead and buried.
