Total loser Kevin Manley (Skeet Ulrich) is feeling down in the dumps at his dead-end job, at a lowly travel agency in suburban L.A. When he receives a letter informing him that he has inherited land in Alaska from a grandfather he never knew, Kevin thinks this is the answer to his prayers, for something good to finally happen to him.
