The Sohma family have a secret ... but the 'cat' may already be out of the bag! Tohru Honda, is suddenly orphaned when her mother is killed in a car accident. Not wanting to burden anyone, she buys a tent to live in a forest. Unbeknownest to Tohru, the forest she lives in, is the backyard of the Sohma family. She is quickly invited to live with them as long as she will cook and clean for the family (the Sohma's are all male). But thats not all they have a family secret, whenever they are embraced by the opposite sex, they turn into animals! You can imagine Toru's surprise when she witnesses their secret firsthand!
