Walt Koontz (DeNiro) is a reitred security guard - tough, mean and bigoted. Rusty Zimmermann (Hoffman) is a drag queen - emotional, bitchy and damaged. Never hae two people had so little in common - the only thing they share is a grungy New York apartment building.
But then one night, fate brings them together when Koontz has a stroke. Rusty, a live cabaret singer and pianist, is employed to give Koontz singing lessons as part of his voice therapy. More used to slinging insults at each other from their apartment windows, now this odd couple finds themselves trapped in the same room together, belting out show tunes. But the real combat has just began as each vents years of bitterness, anger and frustration onto the other. As Koontz and Rusty's tragi-comic life stores painfully unfold, they realise salvation and redemption can be borne out of the most unlikely situations.
Edgy, powerful and daring, FLAWLESS confronts what lies beneath the skin, what truths lie behind appearances and what really makes a man.
