Wagon train guide Linc Murdock (Charles Bronson) learns that when you're young, tough and fast on the draw, challengers and trouble have a way of finding you. With young Kurt Russell at his side they ride into town, only to be ambushed by ruthless outlaws. The gutcrunching brawls and violent shootouts keep out heros busy. Rekindling an old romance with Maria (Susan Oliver), he enrages her jealous husband, an ex-rival, who now sees his chance for revenge and comes at him with both barrells firing.
