There lived a knight in shining wheelchair named Pumpkin Romanoff (Hank Harris). Developmentally limited and dominated by an overbearing mother (Brenda Blethyn), he was a young man whose will had succumbed to society's prejudices.

Then one day a modern day princess of quirky beauty, Carolyn McDuffy (Ricci), flounces into his life. Put in charge of training Pumpkin for the 'Challenged Games', Carolyn's biggest concern is acting charitably in hopes of winning Sorority of the Year with the girls of Alpha Omega Pi.

Soon though, this dark knight and shallow princess find that their souls dance to the same beat and their differences are only skin deep. While Pumpkin finds a new spirit to overcome his disabilities, Carolyn finds the walls of her perfect world crumbling as she learns that true love has no limits.
