Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern (COMING HOME, BLACK SUNDAY, THE GREAT GATSBY) stars as Karl Kinsky, a tattoo artist who becomes dangerously obsessed with international model Maddy (Maud Adams, OCTOPUSSY, ROLLERBALL, VIEW TO A KILL) when he is hired to work on a fashion shoot, painting temporary tattoo's.
Although married, Maddy decides to go out with him but soon realises that Kinsky is not entirely balanced. When Maddy ends the relationship Kinsky's crush turns into an obsession and he harasses and stalks Maddy in a vain attempt to win her back. The situation becomes ever more treatening forMaddy as Kinsky becomes convinced that she is 'unclean' and that she should bear his 'mark' forever.
