'Gunyah - I'll Sing You The Outback' is a musical trip with John Williamson through the great Australian Outback. But what actually is The Outback?
Well, best leave John to explain:
"It's not just the red dust and the desert, it's all the isolated secret places right across our great country - from top to bottom - from blistering heat and humidity, to wind and snow. But more than that, it's how it shapes the characters that live there."
Featuring 13 new songs from the album Gunyah including 'Sing You The Outback', 'Frangipani Bay', 'Granny's Little Gunya', 'Cape York Peninsula', 'Big Brother, Little Brother', 'Butter Outa Grass', 'A Mighty Bug River', 'The Devil's Boots' , 'Buried In Her Bedclothes', 'Around Jindabyne', 'You Are My Foundation', 'The Kiwi And The Emu' and 'Salisbury Street'. It also includes 2 songs 'Sail The Nullarbor' and 'Old Man Emu' not seen in the original TV special.
Also included as a bonus is the 30 minute 'True Stories' Documentary tracing John's career, which was filmed for Country Music Television (Australia) at Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia, in 1999.
