Luke Muldenhower (Scott Vickaryous) is a star quartback and High School Hero. He and Julie Ellis (Katie Harrod), the home-coming queen, have the perfect storybook romance. In the fall they plan to attend the State University where Luke's footballing prowess promises to carry him to even greater success. Then, on the way to the Senior Homecoming dance, Luke mysteriously loses consciouness. He tries to downplay the incident but the doctors soon discover he has a insidious form of cancer called non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Suddenly he is fighting for his life. All he wants is to be a normal teenager, to live life to the full and to be happy, but the foul disease keeps coming back to knock him down time and time again, He and Julie have to call upon every reserve of their love to make it through every precious day. This is a story of survival, courage and strength. But above all, it's a love story.
