1999, 90 minutes, Rated M

Director Alan White's debut feature, with a dynamic ensemble cast led by Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Swordfish) Joel Edgerton (The Secret Life Of Us, Star Wars II & III) and Aaron Blabey (Crash Burn) brings a gritty truth and performances of true power to the Australian screen.

Barky (Marty Denniss) left two years ago to escape his abusive father, leaving behind everything that was important to him. His brother Wace (Hugh Jackman). His girlfriend Lanny (Leah Vandenberg). His life.

Now that his father's dead, Barky thinks it's safe to come home, but he soon discovers that if staying home was hard, coming home is even harder. Wace toughed it out alone, he stayed by his dying fathers side. After two years and no explanation, can Lanny take Barky back, or with everything on the line, will he choose to leave it behind.

In the King's Hotel, two brothers try to make sense out of life after their father's death. Beer, anger and pain prove a dangerous mix as these brothers only know one way to talk.
