Oscar-winning directors Michael Cimino and Oliver Stone join forces with Mickey Rourke (The Pope of Greenwich Village, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man), to create this explosive film.
Deep in the secret heart of New York's Chinatown thrives a criminal menace a thousand years old: the Triad, a network of ruthless corruption and power. As the new godfather of the organization, Joey Tai (John Lone) decides to take over the lucrative drug trade. The streets run red with the blood of his enemies...until, that is, Captain Stanley White (Rourke) takes over Chinatown. Using a beautiful newswoman as his ally, White wages a private battle against the chaos on his turf. The confrontation between the two men is inevitable...and so explosive that only one can survive.
David Denby of New York magazine exclaimed, "Lone should become a major movie star. Rourke gives a bravura star performance. Michael Cimino has talent to burn...his work is smashing."
