ROMEO IS BLEEDING is a tale about greed, desire, deceit, murder and how love's got nothing to do with them. Gary Oldman stars as Jack Grimaldi, a veteran cop who watches other people for a living. Once, in the faded past of his youth, it was an important job but now Jack sees that life on the other side of the binoculars has that little something extra, things that his life are missing - extra sex, extra money and extra excitement.

So he starts walking both sides of the street. He splits his loyalty between mobsters and the law and his affections between his loving wife and his willing mistress. He's just taking what he thinks he deserves until life sends him what he truly deserves: Mona DeMarco. Lured into a tango of treachery where everybody is screwing somebody and nobody can be trusted, Jack runs headlong into his own apocalyptic day of reckoning.
