"The Big Easy" is a romantic thriller, set in the free wheeling city of New Orleans. A chain of gang-land murders linked to a booming drug smuggling ring, sees Remy McSwain (Dennis Quaid) a brash young detective meet Anne Osborne (Ellen Barkin), the sexy assistant District Attorney at the scene of the latest murder.

Anne has been brought in to investigate reports of police corruption. Despite this, she and Remy become romantically involved ... until Remy is set up and charged with corruption.
