From the Pulitzer Prize winning play, is this romantic comedy featuring some of Hollywood's biggest names. Carnelle Scott (Holly Hunter) has grown up in the shadow of her cousins (Tim Robbins and Mary Steenburgen) when she was orphaned at a young age.

She is desperate to make a name for herself and is determined to win the local "Miss Firecracker" Contest. She learns, however, that with the support of her hometown friends, she doesn't need a crown to be queen.
