Rick Chilton (Jeremy London) is about to become a three-time loser as a juvenile offender. His probation officer reluctantly agrees to let him serve time at a secluded ranch, run by Annie Sobel (Megan Gallagher), which operates as a mobility training centre for blind youth. There he meets Lindsay Kurtz (Gina Philips), a world-class gymnast blinded in a fall from a balance beam, who is angry, bitter and unco-operative.
In her Rick sees a beauty and grace that she thought was lost forever, and convinces her to try again. This time using a horse to see for her in the sport of equestrian stadium jumping. Against all odds they begin to help each other on the long road back.
