When Buddy Riley (Jack Noseworthy "U-571") got out of prison, he promised his beautiful young wife, Marie (Laura Leighton "Melrose Place") that he would walk the Clean and Narrow and take care of her and her handicapped brother, Ferguson. But, having no money to take care of his family, Buddy joined forces with two of his childhood friends, E.J. and Tommy Lee, to rob a liquor store, hoping to get enough cash to get out to town and start over. The heist gets wildly out of control when Tommy Lee kills the liquor store clerk. Marie and the Sheriff's wife (Sondra Locke) are caught in the deadly crossfire between Buddy and the police.
