During the day, Molly Stewart (Donna Wilkes), is a sweet-looking 15-year-old who makes good grades at her expensive private school, but at night she's Angel, a street-wise prostitute who works the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard.

At school Angel refuses to participate in any extracurricular activites, making the excuse that she has to take care of her invalid mother. The only friends she knows are also on the street. Mae (Dick Shawn), is the feather-boa clad blonde transvestite who looks after Angel like a mother hen. Lana (Graem McGivin), is a hooker who dreams of retirement in Tahiti. Kit Carson (Rory Calhoun) is the ex-movie cowboy who relives the by-gone days of Hollywood by patrolling the Boulevard as if it were Dodge City.

Terror strikes closer and closer to home when Angel finds her friend Lana floating in a tub of blood-stained water. Angel is the last one to have seen Lana alive and can identify the man last seen talking to her.

Lieutenant Hugh Andrews (Cliff Gorman), si the under-cover policeman in charge of the case. Angel shrugs off his offer to help. Determined to take cafe of herself, she buys a gun and gets shooting lessons from Kit Carson.

Deranged Billy Boy (John Diehl) is identified as the killer and is picked up. Angel identifies Billy at a police station line-up but as she is pointing him out, Billy grabs an unsuspecting policeman's gun and shoots through the one-way mirror. As the glass shatters, he comes face-to-face with his accuser. He escapes and Angel becomes a marked target.
