In the depths of space, a giant meteor burns on a collision course with an enormous asteroid. Within a matter of days, a large chunk from the meteor will crash onto earth and life as we know it will end.

One man, Dr David Corbett, the designer of 'Thor Project", has the ability to annihilate the fragment.

Millitant religious cuilt leader, Thomas Payne (Mario Van Peebles) uncovers both the imminent arrival of the meteor and the Government's plan to avert the disaster. In a fanatical attempt to lead his people to 'Judgement Day', Payne kidnaps Dr. Corbett and then he and his followers await their destiny.

FBI agent Tyrell (Suzy Amis) and Matthew Reese (Ice T) must locate Corbett in time to reconfigure the Thor Project and destroy the meteor.
