Sunny Mecklin would do anything to get out of Purgatory Flats. Anything to be free of her abusive husband and his lecherous family. Anything is seems, even murder. When a mysterious man drifts into town looking for a job, she figures she can put him to work.
His name is Thomas, and he may be more than she bargained for. He used to be a doctor. He used to have a wife. But after spending four year in prison for her accidental murder, he is nothing but damaged good looking for a new start. And when Sunny comes onto him, he is drawn to her like a moth to flame.
eventually he is pulled into the shady world of the Mecklin family, where nothing is what it seems. If Thomas and Sunny can trust each other long enough, they just might make it out of Purgatory alive.
