Lew Brookbank is a small-time loser with a troubled past and a very big secret. Overhearing a couple plan a kidnapping, Lew is tempted by the proposed $1,000,000 ransom to come up with a scheme of his own. Kidnapping the victim himself and then blackmailing the real criminals seems like an easy solution to all of his problems... and it is, until his sordid little plan begins to spin dangerously and murderously out of control.
