"Get ready for Maximum Carnage."

Based on the Stephen King story "Trucks", MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE marks the first directing effort by King himself. In the aftermath of a comet passing through the Earth's atmosphere, machines come to demonic life and turn deadly, bringing about a global crisis. A motley crew of customers and employees find themselves trapped in an isolated North Carolina interstate truck-stop when the trucks hold them hostage. They are forced to devise a desperate plan to save themselves under the leadership of Emilio Estevez's petty thief. The dialog crackles with King's unmistakable brand of dark humour and AC/DC's score is electrifying.
