Based on factual events, this film tells the story of England's Lady Caroline Lamb, and her scandalous affair with the famous poet Lord George Gordon Byron. The headstrong Lady Caroline was married to successful politician William Lamb in the early 1800's; years later he would become Prime Minister. Her passionate and open affair with the flamboyant, controversial and romantic poet Lord Byron led to public scrutiny and controversy, and threatened her husband's career. Caroline was forced to choose between the two men, a decision that would ruin the rest of her life. Starring Sarah Miles, Margaret Leighton, Richard Chamberlain and Laurence Olivier.
