As Poirot's holiday cruise wends its way through the stunning scenery of historic Egypt, the Nile proves to have disturbing currents. Against Poirot's advice, a heart broken Jacqueline De Bellefort joins the trip to stalk her former fiance and his new heiress wife. When the wealthy heiress with a propensity for makign enemies is shot, Jacqueline is the suspect with the perfect alibi. As the body-count rises, Poirot must tax his legendary 'little grey cells' to the limit to expose the assassin in their midst.
