1986, 89 minutes, Rated PG

David Carradine returns as the Old West's most unusual hero in Kung Fu: The Movie, filmed a decade after the popular "Kung Fu" TV series ended.

He still speaks softly and hits hard. And killers still stalk Carradine's fugutive Shaolin priest Kwai Chang Caine in this exciting adventure that adds a captivating new twist: one of the potential assassins is the now-grown son Caine left behind year ago. Brandon Lee (Showdown In Little Tokyo, Rapid Fire) portrays the son, a killing fore when under the mysterious spell of a vindictive warlord (Mako, of The Big Brawl and The Perfect Weapon). Also featured are Martin Landau, Benson Fond and Keye Luke as Master Po, the venerable blind teacher who likens young Caine to a mere "grasshopper".

The fighting action is fierce. And the story ends with a harmony characteristic of Caine's constant inner quest. The father reunites with a son who ha much to learn - including how to hear the grasshopper.

In his travels, Caine meets up with an old man who has several surprises for him. The first being the destruction of the Shaolin order, the second being that the man is the father of the Emperor's nephew whom he killed in China, and the third is that he seeks his revenge using the son Caine never knew he had sired as the instrument of his death. It will take all of Caine's skill and wisdom to find a solution to this deadly predicament.
