A serial killer is hunting prostitutes and disposing of them with cruel, sadistic precision. After each murder is investigated, the body is sent to the morgue for the nightwatchman to guard. When Martin, a struggling law student, takes the unenviable job as the new Nightwatchman, he faces more than the macabre presence of the mutilated bodies. All the evidence about the serial killer is pointing to him and before long he discovers that not only are the police on his case, but the real killer has him marked next on his list.
