It's Australia's original buddy movie when two lovable larrikins hit the road to the Gold Coast in a hot Corvette all to the tune of a hit Sherbet soundtrack!

Carnival roustabouts, American Texas (Joseph Bottoms) and Aussie Alby (Grigor Taylor), hitchhiking to Surfer's Paradise, are picked up by Arnold (John Clayton). When Arnold puts the hard word on Alby, the boys beat him up and steal his car and wallet. After picking up teenager Lynn (Judy Davis) they discover the Corvette is filled with drugs and the wallet is full of money. They're now on the run from the mob and a mobster intent on revenge.
