In the sumptuous setting of late 19th century France, a man of honour will fight to save his enemy.
Based on the notorious Dreyfus Affair, Prisoner of Honour recounts the incredible true story of a captain of the French army who was wrongfully charged with treason because was a Jew. When Capt. Dreyfus is imprisoned on Devil's Island only one man is willing to challenged the priviledged and corrupt military leaders who have sent him there. Colonel George Picquart (Richard Dreyfuss), determined to uncover the truth, soon finds that there was no investigation, no proof and no fair trial. He is determined to find justice for his fellow officer, but Picquart must defeat his own prejudice before he can win the freedom of an innocent man.
