It takes guts to race in the TT, luck and skill to finish and raw talent to win. TT 2004 saw emphatic wins, lap and race records and plenty of battle! With the racing even hotter than the weather, records fell in the Formula 1, Production 1000, Junior & Sidecar classes. The outright lap record was lifted to 127.68 mph by John McGuinness, who went on to take wins in the Formula 1, Junior TT and Lightweight 400, to join TT greats, Hailwood, Dunlop, Hislop and Jefferies in the elite hat-trick club.
Bruce Anstey, Ryan Farquhar and Adrian Archibald also took race wins whilst Dave Molyneux clocked up a record-equalling 10th sidecar win.
This offical review captures the racing, the records, the riders and the atmosphere generated by one of the largest TT crowd in years. The action is captured from all angles, using kerb, on-bike and roadside cameras together with some stunning heli-cam footage, to give you the closest, most exhilarating review of this fantastic festival.
