Mary Stuart Masterson is Lisa Walker; a highly successful businesswoman with a mysterious and tragic childhood. Although lonely, Lisa is not looking for love or romance - in fact, she's terrified of it. That is, until the day she meets Lewis Farrell (Christian Slater).

Lewis has a habit of taking midnight walks and first sees Lisa standing at her window in tears. For him, it is love at first sight and he begins showering her with flowers, hoping to win her heart. Could this be a romance about to bloom... or will Lisa let her one chance for love whither hopelessly away?
