In the blazing heat of the California desert, a lifeless body is found in the sands. Still alive, Nick August is arrested and taken into FBI custody to be interrogated. It is here, that the FBI learn how Nick came to be a wanted man.

Reunited with his brother Carlo, Nick enters the crimelord's world of corruption, where he finds himself torn between two identites - one as a hotshot state's prosecutor and the other the son of a mob crimelord. Carlo gives Nick an insider's look at the criminal world.

After witnessing his brother gun down two men in cold blooded murder, Nick's life is thrown into turmoil. He becomes part of the underground corruption and everything he believed in is challenged by his loyalty to "The Family"...
