1983, 84 minutes, Rated PG
Following their box-office hit, Grease, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John always hoped to find another project. Two of a Kind, which reunited the stars, had an unusual last minute switch. Because Newton-John' hit single Twist of Fate, was so popular just prior to the film's release, Fox replaced the movie score with her chart-topping song.
John Travolta stars in this unique blend of comedy, fantasy and romance as an unsuccessful inventor who robs a bank in order to keep up payments to a loan shark. But the fast-thinking bank clerk (Netwon-John) tricks him and keeps the money. Meanwhile, up in Heaven, the "Supreme Being" is talked out of doing away with mankind by angels who promise a miracle; they're convinced they can make these equally selfish people perform a great sacrifice.
It's only a match that could have been made in heaven.
