A sweeping epic drama as a star-crossed couple - seemingly destined never to be together - overcome tragedy to rekindle the passionate relationship they once shared.
Wildlife protection agent Dane Corvin (Richard Chamberlain - The Thorn Birds, Shogun, Dr. Kildare) has dedicated his life to his job until he meets Hannah Raven (Karen Allen - Raiders Of The Lost Ark, National Lampoon's Animal House) a beautiful young woman whose brother is wanted by the police. Soon Hannah and Dane begin an emotional and steamy relationship but when Dane must arrest Hannah's brother, Hannah vows never to see Dane again. Now, twenty years later, Dane finds himself returning to his small hometown to be with his dying Uncle Ren (Hal Holbrook - The Firm), and the irascible Ren confides in Dane he has just one last dying wish. He wants Dane to find Hannah and win her back.
Facing the feelings he has kept hidden for years, Dane sets out to find his true love. In the process though the agent uncovers secrets Hannah has never told him; they have a son, Gabe, from their earlier romance! Shattered that he has spent a lifetime away from his son, Dane insists Gabe must now learn the truth but Hannah strongly disagrees and the couple are torn apart again.
In a moving finale, Dane and Hannah attempt to overcome their differences; confess their feelings for each other... and create a family in the process.
