Arquette stars as Joanna Warren, an upwardly mobile children's author whose life unravels when a childhood friend is brutally murdered - the latest victim of the vicious Deep Woods Killer, a serial murderer preying upon successful career women.
But is Joanna a suspect... or the killer's next victim? Drawn deeper into a tangled web of violence and deceit, she becomes an unwitting pawn in a deadly game between the elusive killer and an eerie private investigator (Perkins) with his own motives for cracking the case.
