When Mary Giordano's fascination for unsolved crimes becomes a case of life and death, she must uncover the truth before it's too late.
Mary (Alicia Silverstone) begins her own investigation into the brutal murder of a close friend. There are no suspects, no witnesses, no clues, not even a known murder site. By following her own instincts, she uncovers a link between a travelling carnival and several other unsolved murders, in the area.
As she probes deeper into the grisly and mysterious murders, she meets an ambitious young police cadet (Kevin Dillon) who shares her passion for the unsolved crimes. Together they begin to unravel the terrifying acts of a serial killer and begin to fall in love.
As she struggles with her new and exciting feelings for Tony, the two become convinced that they found the killer. But Mary finds incriminating evidence that makes Tony look guilty. Mary realises she may be forced to prove that the man she's falling in love with could be a murderer. That is, if she doesn't end up dead first.
