A beautiful, young socialite must prove herself innocent of murder or fall victim to a ruthless vendetta in the chilling suspense thriller Artifical Lies.

When philandering psychiatrist Harry Palmer is found murdered in his office, a strand of long, dark hair found at the scene of the crime leads police to suspect his last patient of the day, the wealthy Karen Wettering (Zuniga).

Questioned by the police, Karen denise all allegations - but in truth, she is unable to remember the events of the evening. Roger Crombie (Brick), her best friend and lawyer, fears that she is not telling the entire story and seeks the advice of the respected and handsome Dr Peter Drexel (Wagner) to help uncover the truth.

Drexel's evaluation stirs Karen's memory as she slowly recalls her encounter with Palmer. Together, they explore Karen's past in a session that ignites into a passionate evening between doctor and patient.

With evidence mounting against her. Drexel suggests that Karen's only option to avoid conviction is a plea of insanity.

Assuming that she is finally safe and her traumatic ordeal is over. Karen is shocked to find that her nightmare has just begun when Drexel locks her away in an insane asylum.

Karen's only hope lies with her faithful friend, Roger, who must find and expose the true murderer.
