An executive Alan Oliver (Frank Whaley "Swimming With Sharks") has always been on the fast track in life and love.
Ready to whisk his girlfriend away to Seattle where a cutting edge job as a successful dot com company awaits him. Alan returns to Los Angeles to find his life turned upside down. Not only has he been thrown off a major account by a manipulative client, Chad Harmon (Adam Baldwin "The Patriot", "Full Metal Jacket"), but he goes home to find his girlfriend packed and on her way out the door to move in with his nemesis... Chad!
Broken and hurt, Alan turns to his best friend, Marissa Kiley (Annabeth Gish new star of TV's "The X-Files," "Mystic Pizza"). Marissa and ALan have been friends since they were little children and have always been there for each other. Caught up in his own problems, Alan fails to notice that Mariss ahas heartaches of her own as her marriage to her husband Paul (Alex Hyde-White "Pretty Women", "The Phantom Of The Opera") is about to fall apart. Marissa finds it difficult to give Alan sympathy, especially when he quickly rebounds into yet another failed relationship with his latest 'love', Tracy (Amy Jo Johnson, TV's "Felicity").
After hitting rock bottom, Alan's pursuit of happiness leads him to discover that the love of his life has been right in front of his eyes all along.
