On his way home from school, lonely teenage Ryan Jeffers (Mario Yedidia - James And The Giant Peach) accpets a dare and soon finds himself fighting for his life in a raging river. But instead of drowning, he is magically transported through time into a strange and exotic place called Tao, a parallel world of lush, green landscapes and majestic mountains. But a place where 'universal balance and harmony' is threatened by an evil warlord.
Protected by a pack of thrill seeking kangaroo-like heroes known as "the warriors of virtue", young Ryan must conquer the ruthlessly destructive Komodo (Angus MacFadyen - Braveheart, Divine Secrets Of The Ya Ya Sisterhood) in order to preserve the future of the life-giving world.
The battle for the universe has begun, and through the power of love, friendship and magical inner strength, one young boy will return home the saviour of the magical world and a courageous hero.
