New York City. It's home to Central Park, The Statue of Liberty and the legendary New York Knicks Basketball team. This season, however, the team is in last place and nobody wants to know them... except their number one fan and complete basketball but, Edwina "Eddie" Franklin (Whoopi Goldberg). But their losing streak is about to change. Eddie wins a half-time contest and becomes the team's honorary coach for the night and when the team's new owner discovers her wise-cracking, smart-mouthed way around the hoop and with the crowds, he makes her the new head coach! Now she's in their face, on their case and finding out if her men can do more than just dribble, in this outrageous comedy that really knows how to score.
