Connie (Kelly Lynch), a nurse, is devastated when her loer Ellen (Sherilyn Fenn) breaks up their relationship. In her grief she comes up with a bizarre scheme to try and get her back! Why not hire a male escort to seduce Ellen, and then break her heart?

Wouldn't she just rush straight back into Connie's open and forgiving arms?

Not when Joe (William Baldwin), the man she's hired does the unexpected and falls in love with the unsuspecting Ellen. And she in turn falls for him. But things are about to get even more complicated as Joe begins to also warm to Connie like a sister, and his pimp (Joe Pantoliano) threatens to blow the deception apart.
