In the vein of "Thelma and Louise," Samantha (Sheryl Lee, John Carpenter's "Vampires," "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me") is on the run after an armed robbery. Believing her accomplice-boyfriend Steven (Channon Roe "Boogie Nights") is dead, she grabs the loot leaving him at the scene of the crime. On the run, her truck breaks down in Death Valley. Here she meets June (Guinevere Turner "Chasing Amy," "Go Fish," "Preaching To The Perverted"), an attractive innocent who spends her time dreaming of escaping her dead end life. June soon gains a tutorial in living life on the edge and is enticed into believing that she will run away with Samantha leaving behind her mundane life and finding a new, dangerous and adventurous lifestyle.But Samantha's real motives will tear them apart... and change both their lives forever.
