1952, 88 minutes, Rated PG

Gerard, a young student, discovers a fragment of a Phoenician amphora in Corsica. Several years later he sets off onboard the boat of some traffickers, in search of the treasure he thinks he has found. Once more on the island he falls in love with the young Manina. The remains are rediscovered, but the boat goes off with its precious cargo, leaving the young man on the island. The seafarers are shipwrecked and Gerard, still poor, conoles himself with Manina's pure love. More than for the story of youne love, Manina - The Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter is particularly noteworth for the contribution of Brigitte Bardot, just eighteen years old. The actress already lights up the screen, before her appearance in And God Created Woman.
