A delightful, visually inventive fantasy awash with colour, surrealism and eroticism, Fellini's technicolour tour de force is the legendary Italian director's first full colour feature film.
Starring Giulietta Masina, Fellini's real-life wife, Juliet of the Spirits is the story of a bored Italian housewife who seeks relief from the mundane - and her cheating husband (Mario Pisu) - through sensual escapades in the spirit realm. After a trip to a seance, Juliet gets closer to her subconscious desires and is encouraged by neighbour Suzy (Sandra Milo), a hedonistic pleasure-seeker living in a sensual playhouse, to embrace her sexual freedom.
