In a world of wealth and privilege, William Adamson (Mark Rylance - "Intimacy") was an outsider, a man with a love of nature and a passion for beauty whose humble background was no match for Eugenia Alabaster (Patsy Kensit- "Grace of My Heart"). Angelic, beautiful and wealthy, Eugenia was the one specimen William thought he could never catch. When his marriage proposal is accepted, however, his life seems complete. But, unbeknownst to William, this highly proper film hides a devastating secret. Now every glance is a warning, every word holds a message, every door hides a secret. And the future William hoped to build is being destroyed by a past he never imagined.
Also starring Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (1996 Best Actress ? "The English Patient") and Jeremy Kemp ("Four Weddings and a Funeral").
