2001, 91 minutes, Rated R

Sean is a naive 22yr old who moves to Los Angeles with dreams of cracking the big time in the film world & to hopefully meet Johnny Rebel, his obsession & superstar of the Gay Adult Industry. Unlike his persona, Johnny Rebel is a heterosexual man who lives with his girlfriend Babylon, who also works in the sex industry and understands the reality of the implications. Once Sean meets Johnny he is drawn in by his charisma and becomes part of the seedy world of pornographic film, a world in which dreams are soon destroyed and replaced with a stark reality.

Dangeorus and seriously sexy, The Fluffer examines the underbelly of gay porn in the same vein as Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights. It is also one of the hottest queer films of the last decade. Directed by underground gay film makers Richard Glatzier and Wash West (Grief, Gay Republicans) this piercing study of gay life in L.A. also features supporting performances from Deborah Harry (Rock band Blondie, Heavy, Videodrome) and Guinevere Turner (Screenwriter, Star American Psycho, Go Fish).
