A young drifter inadvertently becomes the catalyst for deceit, double crossings and murder in this intense, noirish thriller that stars DENNIS HOPPER (in his most acclaimed role since BLUE VELVET), GINA GERSHON and DOMINIQUE SWAIN (from LOLITA).

Pierre Walker's plans to leave the sea-side town where he's spent the summer working are disrupted when he meets the scheming Kelly - who steals his money and introduces him to Simeon, the double-crossing town "handyman" who promises him work as a lookout man during various burglaries.

But on his first job, Pierre is caught by Harry - owner of the bar he's broken into - who offers to take him under his wing and teach Pierre the real art of burglary.
