In this action-oacked true story, a farm kid from Idaho leaves behind the girl of his dreams to take a life-altering journey to the primitive island kingdom of tonga. The young man's journey soon becomes a fight for survival as he encoutners first, a violent hurricane, then is washed overboard during a raging storm at sea. Through letters across the world and conversations "across the sky", he shares his amazing adventures with his girlfriend back home. When his Polynesian odyssey comes to an end, both the boy and the girl have been changed forever.
