When Wall Street hot shot Tom Gillette is warned by his firm to bring in a lucrative new contract or he's out the door, he begs his best friend Richard to cut him in on a huge oil deal. To his surprise Richard refuses point blank. So Tom turns to hot new recruit at the company, Abby Gallagher, to muscle in on her money-making scheme and steal her glory.
Tom find himself unexpectedly attracted to Abbey's energy and enthusiasm, qualities long since lost in him. Then when Richard is found dead in Central Park, Tom, still reeling from the shock, is ordered to take over the oil deal and soon discovers why his friend was trying to protect him from a big government secret, illegal oil trading and a connection to the Russian mafia. When intimidation and blackmail lead to a threat to Abbey's life, Tom may have to put his career, his future and even his life jeopardy in order to protect her.
